Hotel Content Manager Job Description

Our hotel content manager has a singular focus on making sure all the information about hotels is perfect. As the owner of our extremely important database of hotel content, this position is pivotal for Suiteness. We are looking for a self-starter who organizes the fringe on their rugs after re-sorting their sock drawer.

We have a very flat org structure because we are small, so everyone is expected to manage their own areas of responsibility. The most important factor in hiring is trusting the people we hire to run with it and to own their areas. To make that happen, everyone on the team is here to help each other.

Daily Responsibilities

This role is directly responsible for all the information we have on our hotel partners in our database. We have an admin interface where all this information is managed.

• Onboarding new hotels. We bring on new hotels in new cities all the time. The hotel content manager prioritizes the queue, talks to the hotels to gather information, and enters the images, descriptions, metadata, and amenities into admin.

• Improving existing hotels. The hotel content manager is never happy with the data. They are constantly working to improve it.

• Ensuring we have the best price on suites. One of the most important pieces of hotel information is the pricing. There are a lot of moving parts to make sure we have the best rates.

Future Responsibilities

Hotel content is a department of one today. But it won’t be that way for long. We expect the first hotel content manager to lay the foundation and to run the department as it grows.

About Suiteness

Suiteness is the only place to book luxury hotel suites online. We started in 2012, we’ve raised our funding from great investors like YC, Scott & Cyan Banister, and Structure Capital. We’ve been growing 50% a month this year. We value the following ideals:

• Open and honest communication - Everything we do is in the open, every day we all meet and talk about what we are working on and how we are performing.

• Work life balance - We started Suiteness because we were also starting families and keeping those two in balance is near impossible at most companies.

• Travel is when we are happiest - We are in the travel industry because we love it. We want to make sure that everyone on the team takes many wonderful trips every year.

• Respect and assuming positive intent - Trust is given out quickly and taken back slowly. We all make mistakes and we want to foster an environment of solving problems without blame.

• Humble craftspeople - We want to be the best at what we do, our focus is on doing the best work and learning more without ego.

If this sounds good to you please reach out to us at jobs@suiteness.com, thanks!
