Developing countries are already using our platform to analyze the health data of over 100 million people and deliver emergency aid to millions in need, distribute lifesaving vaccines, stop infectious disease outbreaks, and more.
As one of our first engineering hires, you'll develop core parts of our data integration and analysis platform, working closely with the founders to grow the company. You’ll get to travel to and connect with vastly underserved populations, understand their problems, and build software that will impact entire countries.
You'll have a huge impact scaling this business to 150+ developing countries and improving the lives of 6 billion people around the world.
We’re looking for someone who:
- believes technology should serve a higher purpose and is motivated to help those in greatest need;
- wants to architect applications at scale;
- is comfortable dealing with lots of data in lots of formats;
- has fun building new things;
- is calm under pressure.
Examples of problems we're solving:
- figure out how to import data for an entire country and make it useful to ministers, senior government officials, program officers and healthcare workers as quickly as possible;
- create an disease outbreak alert system for an entire country;
- build predictive tools to help governments get ahead of food and medicine shortages;
- empower analysts to determine the path of disease outbreak, whether interventions are actually improving health outcomes, and how those outcomes can be improved.
