Today, cities use pen and paper to make planning decisions that affect millions of people's lives. We think there's a better way. We've built a web-based platform that helps city planners make much smarter decisions.

We're working with 150+ cities including Oakland, San Antonio, Miami, Calgary, Melbourne, and Reykjavík. All in just two years.

The easiest way to understand what we're doing is this two minute demo:

Come help us build a real-life SimCity. We’re looking for sharp engineers who can work across the stack to improve the world’s first transit planning platform. Our stack is Rails, Python, Javascript (React) and Postgres/PostGIS. You’ll get to work with a smart, collaborative team of six other engineers.

You’ll be working on:
Building out new features and experiences to help cities make better decisions about public transit
Building systems to ingest and model transit data
Continuously improving our performance and user experience

You’d be a good fit if:

You’ve built high-quality products before.
You have experience working across the web stack, and thinking about how to architect systems
You’re resourceful — we’re a small company, and you’ll do a bit of everything
Making cities better excites you

Apply here with a resume and a few words on why you're right for the role. We are committed to a workplace that reflects the community we serve. We especially encourage women, people of color, and others who are underrepresented in the tech industry to apply.

Come help us build a real-life SimCity. We’re looking for a backend generalist engineer to write robust code that drives the world’s first transit planning platform. We use mostly Ruby, Python, and Javascript, and use Postgres/PostGIS. We have many interesting problems, from efficiently querying geospatial databases to pulling meaning out of disparate transit data sources.

You’ll be responsible for:

Developing and improving our systems to digest and make sense of transit data
Working with a stellar team of six other engineers to build new features and products that help cities make better decisions

You’re a good fit if:

You’ve spent a couple of years working on web applications used by real people
You have a knack for using data and asking the right question when working with complex problem domains
You’re resourceful — as a small company, you’ll be able to get a lot done here
You’re strong at either working with databases, or setting up infrastructure

Apply here with a resume and a few words on why you're right for the role. We are committed to a workplace that reflects the community we serve. We especially encourage women, people of color, and others who are underrepresented in the tech industry to apply.

We’re looking for an algorithms engineer to write robust code that drives the world’s first transit planning and scheduling platform. You’ll work on discrete and linear optimization problems to optimize transit operations. You’ll research and implement state of the art, lightning fast, provably correct, and debuggable algorithms. You’ll work closely with a team of friendly and talented full stack engineers to build a product with a beautiful UI.

Our goal is to be the planning platform used by all cities, and you’ll literally be working on something that will impact the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world.

You’d be a good fit if:
You’ve read or even written academic papers and implemented the research
You’ve worked with algorithmic concepts, like graphs, optimization, and heuristics
You’ve worked in a production environment --you’ve been code reviewed and your code has served many customers
You’re excited about working in a fast-paced environment in a fast-growing startup
Bonus if you’ve worked with linear optimization and integer programming

Apply here with a resume and a few words on why you're right for the role. We are committed to a workplace that reflects the community we serve. We especially encourage women, people of color, and others who are underrepresented in the tech industry to apply.

Design is at the heart of what we do. You’ll be in charge of the external design and brand at Remix, creating all of the physical and digital touchpoints a city might experience when they interact with us, outside of the product. Our company was founded by designers (Sam and Tiffany) and we take this stuff very seriously.

You’ll be working on:
Experience design for our events — signage, wayfinding, handouts, banners, materials, etc
Our online presence — the Remix website and everything related to it
Print — customer stories, postcards, how-tos, and more
Communications — designing how we onboard and train customers through emails, weekly newsletters

You’d be a good fit if:
Your visual design is compelling, opinionated, and beautiful
You're a powerful visual storyteller, with a strong editorial voice
You've done work across a wide range of mediums including web and print, and you obsess about all the details in between (e.g. everything from typography on a microsite, to paper texture of a thank you note, to vinyl wall decals for a big event)
You care about cities, urban planning, and transportation
You'd love to take a lead role working directly with the cofounders to shape a new brand. This is the first communication design role at Remix!

In two years, Remix is being used by 150+ cities around the world to plan better public transit. To help us get the next 150, we’re looking for someone to lead Revenue Operations — managing our internal tools and measurements for sales, success, and marketing.

Remix’s software is one of a kind.  We save agencies 90+% in productivity.  One of our customers says it perfectly: "Imagine being able to visually demonstrate how the change of bus routes would affect population coverage and at the same time show the financial cost – all at the click of a mouse. With Remix, people see trade-offs between planning decisions in seconds, in a way that is easy to understand." –Anthony Cross, Public Transport Network Manager, Auckland Transport

You’d be a good fit if you:

Have 8+ years experience supporting sales, and have strong opinions about sales reports & dashboards
Love measuring funnels, opportunities, sales cycles, and all things revenue
Enjoy working with sales, success, and marketing teams to craft and automate processes
Have enough technical experience to get the job done

What you will do:

Define the right sales, success, and marketing measurements to track
Build and manage the internal systems we use to track sales efforts
Think through and implement territory strategies
Create dashboards and reports to give visibility into our sales & success efforts
Find any place to improve our sales process… and then improve it
Help with forecasting, planning, and budgeting

To serve our cities, we’re looking for someone to be in charge of streamlining data processes between the Remix Product and Success teams — ultimately to ensure our customers have the best possible data on which to do their planning work.

Are extremely analytical, and can understand and communicate technical concepts (e.g. data models, how software works, etc.)
Have experience managing a remote team.
Consistently find yourself as the most organized person on your team :)

What you'll do:

Create a beautiful process and pipeline for data, including transit data collection, refinement, and quality. This process doesn’t exist yet, and you’ll be building it from the ground up
Manage multiple stakeholders and requests simultaneously, and delegate work across different teams
Define requirements for tools needed to support this process, and work with internal teams to build them
Ensure Remix customers’ transit networks (existing and proposed) are represented accurately within our platform. Develop tactics to continuously evaluate and improve this data on an ongoing basis
Track and measure your processes to understand if they are working

You should have experience in understanding a 2–4 month sales process that spans multiple people and departments with a proven track record consistently being over-quota.  It is important to note that customer success is crucial for our success.  Identifying what success means to the customer in the pre-sales process and driving towards attaining that once they have signed is our #1 priority.
